Privacy Policy

Pulse stores all data locally on your device. Events you log, daily reflections, custom mood and activity tags, your stated reason for using the app, and all preference settings live only on your iPhone, in your private app sandbox and the App Group container we use to share data with the Pulse lock-screen widget.

What we don't do

• We don't collect, transmit, share, or sell any data. The app does not connect to a server.
• No analytics SDKs. No Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, PostHog, Sentry, or anything similar.
• No advertising. No third-party SDKs of any kind.
• No accounts. There is no sign-in, no sync, no account to lose.

What we do

• Use Apple's SwiftData (a local database) to persist your entries on the device.
• Use a private App Group container so the Pulse app and the Pulse lock-screen widget can read and write the same local database.
• Use Apple's notification system to deliver the optional weekly review and daily reflection reminders you choose to enable. The notifications are scheduled and rendered locally.

Your control

• Export every event as a CSV file at any time via Settings → Export data as CSV.
• Delete everything (events, tags, reflections, preferences) and return to first-launch state via Settings → Delete all data.
• Uninstalling Pulse removes the entire local database.

Children

Pulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone (we do not collect data at all).

Changes

If this policy changes (for example, if we ever add an optional cloud-sync feature in a future version), we'll update this page and note the change with a new last-updated date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
