Email supportCommon questions
Is my data private?+
Yes — entirely. Pulse stores everything locally on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, and no third-party SDKs. See the Privacy page for details.
How do I delete a log I made by accident?+
Tap the entry — Today, day-detail in Calendar, or History. The edit modal opens with a 'Delete this entry' button at the bottom.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Settings → Export data as CSV. The file is shareable to any app — Files, Mail, AirDrop, etc.
What happens if I uninstall the app?+
The local database is removed with the app. There's no cloud copy because there's no cloud.
Why doesn't the app track abstinence streaks the way other apps do?+
Pulse measures awareness, not abstinence. Logging a 'gave in' moment is treated identically to logging a 'resisted' moment — both are wins because both grow your awareness of patterns. Streak counters that punish slips are a known driver of relapse spirals.
What's the lock-screen widget for?+
Quick-logging without unlocking. Long-press your lock screen, customize it, add a Pulse widget. One tap to log Resist, Gave in, or open the app.
What does 'Pause' do?+
Full-screen breathing intervention with prompts and a suggested action. Use it when you have the urge but haven't decided yet — it's the single highest-leverage feature for the moments before you act.
